Saltpond Redevelopment Institute was founded in 2004 through the initiatives of Dr. Andrew Davis.

  • Michael P Strotter
    Chief Executive Officer
    Advanced Medical Imaging Centers Michael P. Strotter got involved in SRI through the tireless recruitment efforts of Dr Andrew Davis. He joined the SRI Board in 2009 and became committed to SRI after hearing about its story, and the strides made by Dr Davis and others to improve life for the residents of Saltpond. He feel SRI's greatest strength is in its vision of returning Saltpond to its historical prominence by making it a hub for Agricultural, Technical, and Medical development."

  • Sister Margaret Wright
    Religious Sister of Mercy and Pharmacist Sister Margaret Wright met Dr. Davis at Mercy Hospital Chicago in the 70's and have been friends ever since. Her philosophy has always been to help people help themselves which fits right in to the mission and vision of SRI.

    We have always had continued support, slow but sure, to accomplish our goals.
  • Angela Micah
    Senior Research Analyst
    Compass Lexecon Angela Micah has a deep interest in economic development, the roots of which can be traced back to her Ghanaian origins. Angela pursued a Masters in International and Development Economics from Yale University immediately after graduating from Oberlin College in 2004. She is currently a Senior Research Analyst with CompassLexecon, an economic consulting company in Chicago. Angela first became involved with SRI through activities organized at my church, the First United Methodist Church at the Chicago Temple and has served the organization for the past three years. She sees the commitment of its leadership and the strong local contacts in Saltpond as SRI's greatest strength.

    I believe in its mission. I am a strong believer in self empowerment, that sustainable development occurs when individuals are their own agents of change.
